We depart at 8 o’clock from the meeting point to visit Thien Hau Temple. It is dedicated to Thien Hau, the God of the Sea who is a deity of Chinese traditional religion. She helped Chinese people immigrated to Vietnam by Sea. Then we will spend our time walking around to see old houses and the street with many shops that selling fish as a pet. Back to the van leave for Cho Lon – the biggest wholesale market in Saigon. The market that you can find nearly anything there. You are free to take photos inside.
After that, we will come to Vietnam Silver House – the work shop that showing you how to make jewelry from silver. And you also have a chance to make one yourself.
The last stop is Fito Museum – Vietnamese traditional museum – where you can learn more about our culture, how we heal people of a disease with medicinal herbs.
Lunch at the local restaurant
In the afternoon, we will visit Reunification Palace. It used to be the Palace for President and his family to lived and worked until reunification in 1975. The building is now functioned as a museum where the tourist can see all of the original rooms, facilities and devices.
After the Palace, we will spend our time at the Cathedral Notre Dame and the Saigon Central Post Office. Both were built by French at the late 19th Century with all the materials were imported direct from France. The book street is very close will give you another look to many book stores in Saigon where the local people come to read and enjoy the coffee.
The last stop is Vietnam History Museum, the museum with many exhibitions about Vietham history and culture from all periods. The museum will show you the whole picture of Vietnam.
