We depart at 8 o’clock from the meeting point to visit Cu Chi Tunnel – an elaborate maze underground passages, chambers, rooms and booby traps are used during the war. It is about 50km from the city center and it will take around one and the half hour to get there. We will be able to experience how people live, sleep and eat underground passages and bunkers during the fierce battles above and beneath the surface.
Lunch at the local restaurant
In the afternoon, we will drive back to Saigon to visit Reunification Palace. It used to be the Palace for President and his family to lived and worked until reunification in 1975. The building is now functioned as a museum where the tourist can see all of the original rooms, facilities and devices.
After the Palace, we will spend our time at the Cathedral Notre Dame and the Saigon Central Post Office. Both were built by French at the late 19th Century with all the materials were imported direct from France. The book street is very close will give you another look to many book stores in Saigon where the local people come to read and enjoy the coffee.
The last stop is Vietnam History Museum, the museum with many exhibitions about Vietham history and culture from all periods. The museum will show you the whole picture of Vietnam.
